Lucky Penny co-founders Taylor Bartolucci and Barry Martin started 2011 by taking on some outside projects - namely, acting roles with Napa Valley Conservatory Theatre. Taylor starred in the March 2011 production of "Gypsy" and Barry appeared in the April 2011 production of "The People's Temple." In the meantime, Lucky Penny presented two wildly popular piano bar sing-alongs at the Napa Valley Wine Train depot lounge, and Cafe Cabaret:Dear Dad, a Father's Day show, at the Napa Valley Opera House on June 19. Following that, the pair were cast as Fred/Petruchio and Lilli/Kate in the 6th Street Playhouse production of "Kiss Me, Kate" running in August-September. In November, Lucky Penny presented another custom music and comedy show for the 25th Anniversary Gala of Leadership Napa Valley, and then wrapped up the year by playing Brenda and Gary in "Snowing at Delphi", a co-production with Dreamweavers Theatre in December. Plans are underway for future stage productions in 2012. Stay tuned!
